Friend-shoring
It refers to the move to build supply chains and share core technologies among allied nations, centered on the United States.
The United States has recently been focusing on “friend-shoring” as it experiences a global supply chain crisis triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic (a global outbreak), Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and China’s city lockdowns.
If trusted allies band together, goods can be secured reliably. It also reflects the intention to exclude China and Russia, which are hostile to the United States, from the supply chain.
