State Capitalism
It is also called a 'capitalist planned economy' and refers to a large-scale statist nationalization policy within a capitalist economic system. In communist bloc countries, it was also called the 'communist new economic policy'; its foundation was a social economic system that was temporarily introduced and tested by Vladimir Lenin of the Soviet Union after the Russian Revolution, and was implemented to obtain capital for the state.
Similarly, in countries with capitalist systems, it was a system used as needed to break through unavoidable economic situations during national crises, but in militarist or communist states it was once understood as a past wartime economic policy, much like in imperialist states. From the mid-1920s onward, it was called the 'New Economic Policy' in the Soviet Union, and in China it was an economic policy called 'revisionist communism'.
