The Danger of Not Specifying Your Goals
People sometimes don't set detailed goals because they are afraid of the fact that they have failed. It is very easy to keep everything vague. Because you can just leave it as it is. You won't even know that you failed.
'I don't want to know when I've failed, it'll be too painful.'
'I'll keep myself in a state of giving up. It's okay if I don't do it, I'll fail anyway...'
This way, you'll turn 40 without knowing anything until you've failed so much that it's all over. I don't really recommend this method. If you make your goals specific, even getting only half of them is pretty good. It's a life worth living. Of course, the process can be anxiety-inducing and stimulating, and may involve pain and loss, but if you do nothing, you'll get all of that back at the end. Goals mean having a vision in life. So what should you do? Put in place a very small habit first. Yes, "this is what I'm aiming for" β and how to make yourself concrete day by day, every week, every month, like a schedule.
